Product Description
Composition
Each ml contains Nitroxynil BP 340 mg.
Pharmacology
Nitroxynil acts by stopping oxidative phosphorylation in the cell mitochondria that disturbs the production of ATP of the parasites.
Indications
Nitrox-A Vet is indicated for the treatment of fascioliasis in cattle and sheep. It is also effective at the recommended dose rate against adult and larval stages of Haemonchus contortus in cattle and sheep and Haemonchus placei, Oesophagostomum radiatum and Bunostomum phlebotomum in cattle.
Dosage & Administration
Route of Administration: subcutaneous (SC) Injection only
1.5 ml/ 50 kg body weight.
Or, as directed by the registered Veterinary physician.
Contraindication
Nitrox-A Vet should not be mixed with any other preparation and is contraindicated in animals hypersensitive to it.
Warning & Precaution
Dairy cows should be treated at drying off (at least 15 days before calving). Should avoid contact with skin and mucosa.
Side effects
Common side effects: Swelling may develop at the injection site and these reactions disappeared without treatment.
Rare side effects: Anaphylactic reactions may be observed.
Use in pregnancy & lactation
Nitroxynil is a safe drug and it can be used at any stage of pregnancy. As nitroxynil passed through milk, it is better to avoid using in animals
producing milk for human consumption.
Drug interaction
With medicine: Not known.
With food & others: No known interaction was found with feed.
Overdose
In case of overdose poisoning, no specific antidote is known, only symptomatic treatment are recommended.
Withdrawal time
Meat: 28 days, Milk: Should not use in animal producing milk for human consumption.
Storage
Store below 30° C temperature and dry place, protected from light.
Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
