Composition :
Each gram powder contains Bromhexine Hydrochloride BP 10 mg.
Indication :
Mucospel-vet powder is indicated for the treatment of respiratory disorders associated with viscid or excessive mucus or productive cough. This include: Tracheobronchitis, Bronchitic with emphysema, Bronchiectasis, Bronchitis with bronchospasm, chronic inflammatory pulmonary conditions, Pneumoconiosis. All those complications are associated with different respiratory diseases like CRD, Coryza, IL, IB, Air sacculitis and Air sinusitis etc.
Dosage & administration :
For oral administration along with feed or with drinking water. Add to feed or drinking water immediately before administration.
Cattle: Each gm powder per 20 kg body weight (0.5 mg/kg body weight) once daily for 5 days.
Poultry: Each gm powder per 3 litre of drinking water (0.5 mg/kg body weight) for 5 days.
Dogs: 2 gm powder per 10 kg body weight (2 mg/kg body weight) twice daily for 5 days.
Cats: Each gm powder per 10 kg body weight (1 mg/kg body weight) once daily for 7 days.
Mode of Action :
- Reduces and fragments the cross linking of mucopolysaccharide fibers of mucus
- Reduction of mucus viscosity in the lumen of respiratory tract
- Intensifies motion of respiratory epithelial cilia
- Increases outward expectoration transport
Contraindication :
Mucospel-vet powder is contraindicated for use in patients with known hypersensitivity or idiosyncratic reaction to bromhexine hydrochloride (or any of the other ingredients in the product).
Use in Pregnancy and Lactation :
Not for use in cows producing milk for human consumption.
Adverse effects :
Gastrointestinal side effects may occur occasionally with Bromhexine and a transient rise in serum aminotransferase values has been reported. Other reported adverse effect includes sweating, allergic reactions.
Storage :
Store in a dry and cool place. Protect from light. Keep out of reach of children.
