Product Description
Composition:
Each Bolus contains Metronidazole BP 2 g.
Indications:
Animals: Metritis, Endometritis, Vaginitis, Trichomoniasis,Giardiasis, Balantidiasis, Gingivitis, Amoebic dysentery, Calf scour, Post operative treatment after colonic surgery & inflammatory bowel disease.
Poultry: Histomoniasis, Giardiasis, Trichomoniasis etc.
Dosage and administration:
Animals:
Orally: 40-50 mg/kg body weight. (i.e., 1 bolus per 40-50 kg body weight) for 5-7 days.
Intra-uterine: 4 bolus directly or powdered for douche per 100 kg body weight.
Poultry :
1 bolus/3-6 liter drinking water for 4-6 days. Or as directed by the registered veterinarian.
Contraindication:
Animals hypersensitive to metronidazole. It should be avoided in pregnant animals, especially in the first trimester and it should not be used in lactating animals.
Side effects:
Usually salivation, vomiting, decreased appetite, gastro-intestinal upset etc may occur.
Storage:
Store at 15oC to 30oC in a dry place protected from light. Keep out of reach of children.
Supply:
Each box contains 5 × 4's boli in blister strip.
