Composition :
K-10 powder: Each gram K-10 powder contains-
Menadione Sodium bi-sulphate 100 mg.
Lactose q. s. to make 1 gm.
Pharmacology :
Vit-K helps in the synthesis of Blood coagulation Factor II, VII, IX & Factor X. Helps in metabolism of Calcium.
Indication :
Debeaking, Coccidiosis, Prolonged blood cloating, Hematoma, Haemorrhagic anemia, Epistaxis, Selicilate poisoning, Quinine poisoning, Hepatitis, Gastroenteritis, after treatment with Sulfer drugs, etc.
Dosage & administration :
Poultry: 1 gm / 10 litre of drinking water for 3-5 days.
Cattle, Sheep, Goat : 1-10 gm / 50 kg body weight for 3-5 days.
Contraindication & Precaution :
The mixture water should be used within 24 hours.
Side effect :
It has no side effect at recommended dose. It is safe for maximum animals even when use 1000 times more the body requirement. But excessive use may cause hemolytic anemia, hemoglobinurea & acute renal failure in horse.
Storage Condition :
Store in a cool & dry place. Use as early as possible after opening the container. Protect from direct sunlight & moisture. Keep away from reach of children.
