Composition
Each bolus contains
Triclabendazole BP 1800 mg &
Levamisole Hydrochloride BP
equivalent to Levamisole 1200 mg
Mode of action
DoubledexTM Vet bolus contains two ideal anthelmintics like Triclabendazole & Levamisole. Triclabendazole acts against mature and immature flukes specially against liver flukes (Fascioliosis). It binds to the beta tubulin of the parasites and blocks polymerization of tubulin into microtubules. The process damages the integrity and transport functions of cells within the
parasite and ultimately the parasite dies. Levamisole is an ideal broad spectrum anthelmintic that acts against respiratory and intestinal round worms. It causes lysis of worms by neuromuscular paralysis. Moreover, it acts as an immunomodulator.
Indication
DoubledexTM Vet bolus is a broad spectrum anthelmintic, effective against trematode & nematode worms of cattle, buffalo, sheep/goat etc. DoubledexTM Vet bolus is used for the treatment of acute, sub acute and chronic Fascioliasis (infestation of trematodes) caused by Fasciola gigantica & F. hepatica. DoubledexTM Vet bolus is also used against major stomach,
intestine and respiratory nematodes of ruminants, such as
• Haemonchus spp. • Ostertagia spp. • Cooperia spp.
• Trichostrongylus spp. • Bunostomum spp. • Esophagostomum spp.
• Trichuris spp. • Dictyocaulus spp.
Dosage & Administration
1 DoubledexTM Vet bolus per 150 kg body weight or 19.5 mg per kg body
weight or as per following schedule:

21-40 - 1/4 Bolus
41-75 - 1/2 Bolus
76-150 - 1 Bolus
151-225 - 1½ Boli
226-300 - 2 Boli
301-375 - 2½ Boli
376-450 - 3 Boli
DoubledexTM Vet bolus can be administered orally through water or by mixing with any feed (e.g. with molasses or by wrapping in a banana leaf) and feeding to the animal.
Or, as per direction of registered veterinarian / consultant.
Contraindication
DoubledexTM Vet bolus is contraindicated in animals hypersensitive to active ingredients.
Side effect
DoubledexTM Vet bolus is well tolerated in livestock. At the recommended doses there is no side effect.
Drug interactions
This combination should not be used with Pyrantel, Morantel and Diethylcarbamazine.
Over dosage
Triclabendazole 16 times and Levamisole 3 times more safe than the recommended dosages.
Withdrawal period
Milk: 10 days; Meat: 28 days
Uses in pregnancy and lactation
There is no effect on pregnant animals if given in recommended dosage. DoubledexTM Vet bolus has no embryonic or teratogenic effect reported in fetus.
Precaution
The animal should be given adequate fluid during and after therapy.
Storage Condition
Store at or below 25 °C temperature. Keep away from light and wet place. Keep out of reach of children.

Box containing 5 strips of 4 boli each. Each bolus contains Triclabendazole BP 1800 mg and Levamisole Hydrochloride BP equivalent to Levamisole 1200 mg.
