Composition:
Injection: Each ml contains Meloxicam BP 20 mg & Paracetamol BP 150
mg.
Bolus: Each bolus contains Meloxicam BP 100 mg & Paracetamol BP 1500
mg.
Description:
Meloxicam is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) of oxicam
family. It acts by inhibiting prostaglandin synthesis, thereby exerting
anti-inflammatory, anti-exudative, analgesic and antipyretic properties.
Meloxicam has anti-endotoxic properties too. Paracetamol is an antipyretic
agent. It reduces fever by depressing the heat regulatory centers in the
hypothalamus.
Indication:
Meloshin Plus (Vet) is indicated in inflammation, pain, fever, lameness,
dehorning & castration. It is also used as supportive therapy in acute
respiratory infections, diarrhoea, acute mastitis etc.
Dosage & administration:
Injection
For intramuscular/subcutaneous/intravenous administration.
Livestock: 1 ml / 40 kg body weight as a single dose.
Bolus
Large Animal: 1 bolus/200 kg body weight once daily.
Small Animal: 1/4 - 1/2 bolus once daily.
Or, as directed by the registered Veterinarian.
Contraindications:
Animals that hypersensitive to Meloxicam or those have kidney, liver &
cardiac problem.
Use in pregnancy & lactation:
Not recommended for use in pregnant or lactating animals.
Precaution:
Do not administer concurrently with steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs
(SAID) & other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAID).
Side effects:
A slight transient swelling at the injection site following SC injection may be
seen. Prolong use may cause gastrointestinal lesions, inappetence,
vomiting and diarrhoea.
Drug interactions:
May cause increased likelihood of bleeding if use in conjunction with
Corticosteroids, Heparin, Warfarin, Aspirin, Flunixin & Phenylbutazone.
Withdrawal Period:
After using Meloshin Plus (Vet) meat should not be eaten for 15 days and
milk for 5 days.
Storage:
Store at a temperature below 30 D C, protect from light & dry place. Keep all
medicines out of reach of children.

Injection:10 ml Vial.
Bolus: Each box contains 10 x 2’s bolus in Alu-PVC/PVDC blister
