Composition:
Each ml solution contains Ivermectin BP 10 mg.
Pharmacology:
Vermishin Solution (Vet) is a very potent ectoparasiticide and nematocide. It is very effective against all stages of major parasites. Vermishin Solution (Vet) causes hyperpolarization of the nerve or muscle cell of parasites, result in paralysis and death of parasites.
Indications:
Poultry- Vermishin Solution (Vet) is indicated for infestations caused by internal parasitic round worm such as Ascaridia galli, Heterakis gallinarum, Cooperia spp. etc. and external parasites such as mites, lice, ticks, fleas etc. Cattle/Sheep/Goat- For the treatment of internal parasites such as Ostertagia spp. Cooperia spp. and external parasites such as ticks, mites, lice, fleas etc.
Dosage & Administration:
Poultry- 0.4 mg of Vermishin Solution (Vet)/kg of body weight (equivalent to 1 ml/25 kg of body weight) once for a single day. Pigeon- 1 ml/L drinking water. Cattle, Sheep/Goat- 1 ml/50 kg body weight. If necessary repeat the treatment in 15 days.
Or, as directed by the registered Veterinarian.
Contraindication:
Vermishin Solution (Vet) contraindicated in animals or birds hypersensitive to Ivermectin.
Side Effects:
Common side effects- Vermishin Solution (Vet) is well tolerated in recommended dose. In some cases abdominal swelling, ataxia, blindness, diarrhea may occur. Rare side effects- None.
Precaution:
Once Vermishin Solution (Vet) is mixed with water, it must be administered within the next 12 hours. Do not administered by parenteral route.
Withdrawal Period:
Poultry- After using Vermishin Solution (Vet) meat should not be eaten for 08 days & egg for 07 days.
Cattle- After using Vermishin Solution (Vet) meat should not be eaten for 14 days & Milk should not be used in cows producing milk for human consumption.
Storage:
Store at a temperature below 300c, protect from light. Keep all medicine out of reach of children.
