Product Description
Vermishin Injection (Vet) an injectable solution for killing both external
and internal parasites.
Composition:
Each ml Vermishin Injection (Vet) contains Ivermectin BP 10 mg.
Mode of Action:
Ivermectin inhibits the neuromuscular transmission of parasites
resulting paralysis.
Indications:
Vermishin Injection (Vet) shows excellent efficacy for the treatment of
following internal and external parasites.
Internal parasites:
Gl nematodes of cattle, buffalo, sheep, goat & camel – Haemonchus,
Trichostrongylus, Strongyloides, Cooperia, Nematodirus,
Oesophagostomum, Trichuris, Metastrongylus, Stephanurus etc.
Nematodes of lung- Dictyocaulus spp. of cattle, deer, sheep, goat and
horse.
Gl nematodes of dog- Ancylostoma, Trichuris, Toxcocara.
Gl nematodes of horse- Strongylus spp. Oxyuris equi, Parascaris equorum,
Hebronema spp., Trichostrongylus axei, Strongyloides etc.
External parasites:
In cattle: Myiasis by screw worm fly-Crysomya bezzinana , warble fly–
Hypoderma bovis; Sucking lice-Linognathus, Haematopinus, Biting
lice-Demalinia; Mites-Sarcoptes, Psoroptes, Chorioptes, Demodex
Tick-Boophilus ornithodorus.
In Horse: Gastrophillus spp.
In sheep: Nasal bot by Oestrus ovis, Mites- Sarcoptes, Chorioptes,
Demodex.
In dog: Mites-Demodex, Sarcoptes, Otodectes.
In cat: Mites-Notoedres
In cattle: Humpsore causing nematodes-Stephanofilaria assamensis
infestation.
Dosage and Administration:
In cattle: Subcutaneous route: 0.2 mg/kg body weight i.e. 1 ml for 50 kg
body weight (single injection)
N.B In case of Humpsore in cattle the dose may be repeated after 28
days.
Dogs: Subcutaneous route: 0.2 mg /kg body weight i.e. 0.5 ml for 25 kg
body weight. (single injection)
Cat: Subcutaneous route: 0.2 mg /kg body weight i.e. 0.10 ml for 5 kg
body weight. (single injection)
Horse: Intramuscular route 0.2 mg/kg body weight i.e. 1 ml for 50 kg
body weight (single injection)
Or as directed by the registered Veterinarian.
Contraindication:
Contraindicated in animals hypersensitive to Ivermectin.
Warning & Precaution:
Wash hands carefully after using this product.
Side Effects:
Tvermectin is well tolerated in recommended dose. In some cases
diarrhea, ataxia, abdominal swelling may occur.
Safety in Pregnancy:
Ivermectin is 10 times safe in ruminants and dogs. It is safe in breeding
and pregnant animals.
Withdrawal Period:
After using Vermishin Injection (Vet) meat should not be eaten for 21
days & milk 28 days.
Storage:
Store at a temperature below 30⁰C, protected from light & keep in dry
place. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
