Composition:
Flumixine®10 : Each 10 mL contains Flunixin Meglumine 829.50mg equivalent to Flunixin 500mg. Flumixine®30 :Each 30 mL contains Flunixin Meglumine 2.489g equivalent to Flunixin 1.5g
Indication:
Cattle & Buffalo: For the control of pyrexia associated with BRD, endotoxemia and inflammation Use in acute respiratory diseases to reduce clinical signs, Use an adjunctive therapy in mastitis treatment, For reducing pain in a Downer Cow syndromes, For use in calf diarrhea as an adjunctive treatment.
Dogs: For adjunctive treatment of Disk problems, Arthritis, Heatstroke & Shock Relief inflammation and pain at Ophthalmic inflammatory conditions, pre and post ophthalmic and general surgery.
Horse: For the alleviation of inflammation & pain associated with musculoskeletal disorders, For the alleviation of visceral pain associated with colic, For use as an adjunctive treatment of Foal diarrhoea, shock, colitis, respiratory disease, pre & post-race treatment and general surgery.
Dosage: Route of administration : For Intramuscular or Intravenous use. Cattle, Buffalo : 2 - 4 mL per 100 kg body weight (1.1 - 2.2 mg/kg BW) is given in IM/IV once daily for 3-5 days. For the IV route, it should be given slowly. Horses: a) Generally: 2mL per 90 kg bw (1.1 mg/kg bw) is given IV or IM once or twice daily for up to 5 days. For colic cases, use the IV route and may re-dose when necessary. b) For adjunctive treatment of uveitis in Foals: 0.3-.06mL/30 kg bw (0.5-1 mg/kg bw) is given IM twice daily for up to 5 days. Dogs : Generally: 0.5-2.2 mg/kg bw is given in IM/IV once daily. May be repeated in 12-24 hours if needed. Cat : For pyrexia/surgical pain: 0.25 mg/kg bw is given IV or IM once, which may be repeated in 12-24 hours if needed. Rabbits : 1.1 mg/kg SC, IM, IV q.i.d for 24h. Or, As directed by the Registered Veterinarian.
Precaution: Flunixin be used cautiously in animals with pre-existing GI ulcers, renal, hepatic or hematologic disease. Do not use in animals showing hypersensitivity reactions to Flunixin.
Use_in_pregnancy: Flumixine® (vet) may be used during pregnancy & lactation period.
Side_effects: Additional doses may result in increased chance for toxicity. In horses following IM injection, reports of localized swelling, induration, stiffness and sweating have been reported.
Storage: Store in cool & dry place at room temperature, and protect from light. Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
