Product Description
Composition
Each ml contains Apramycin (as Apramycin Sulfate) BP 200mg.
Pharmacology
It prevents protein synthesis of susceptible bacteria,presumably by binding to the 30S ribosomal subunit.
Indication
It is indicated for the treatment of bacterial enteritis,colibacillosis, salmonellosis, respiratory infections etc.
Dosage & administration
Route of administration:
For IM/SC injection only.
0.1 ml/kg body weight for 5 days.
Or as directed by the Registered Veterinarian.
Contraindication
Cow: Apramycin is contraindicated to animals hypersensitive
to it, Kidney dysfunction and animals with myasthenia gravis.
Warning & precaution
Do not mix with other medicines. Do not inject more than 10
ml per injection site.
Side effects
Common side effects: Not known.
Rare side effects: Ototoxicity, Nephrotoxicity may occur in
case of long term use.
Use in pregnancy & lactation
Cow: Laboratories studies have not produced any evidence of teratogenic, fetotoxic or meternotoxic effects.
Sows: The use is not recommended in pregnant or lactating
sows.
Drug interaction
With medicine: Not known.
With food & others: Not known.
Overdose
Using the drug at high doses for prolonged period may occur diarrhea.
Withdrawal time
Meat: Cattle/Calves- Meat must not be consumed up to 28
days after administration of this medicine. Pig- Meat must not
be consumed up to 7 days after administration of this
medicine.
Milk: Not Known.
Storage
Store below 300 C temperature and dry place, protected from
light.
Keep all medicines out of reach of children.
