DESCRIPTION:
Tylosef® vet is a water soluble powder containing Tylosin tartrate. Tylosin is active against
pathogenic mycoplasma and some Gram-positive & Gram-negative bacteria. Tylosin is well
absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. The excretion of its metabolites is mostly through bile and
faeces.
COMPOSITION:
Each gm powder contains;
Tylosin tartrate BP 200 mg
MODE OF ACTION
Tylosef® vet powder interferes with protein synthesis of microorganisms by reversibly binding to the 50s subunit of its ribosome. As a result, microorganisms cannot survive due to incapability of protein synthesis.
INDICATION:
Tylosef® vet powder is used for the treatment and control of respiratory infection associated with Tylosin tartrate susceptible microorganisms such as-
Mycoplasma gallisepticum
Mycoplasma synoviae
Tylosef® vet powder acts against Sinusitis, Airsacculitis, Enzootic pneumonia. It also used against enteritis and other pneumonia oriented infections
CONTRAINDICATION:
Do not use in animals with known hypersensitivity to tylosin or other macrolides. Do not use in cases with known resistance to tylosin or cross-resistance to other macrolides
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD:
Meat: 1 day; Egg: 0 day
SIDE EFFECT :
There is no evidence of tylosin toxicity in chickens, turkeys when administered orally.
STORAGE:
Store below 30 °C temperature, Keep away from light and wet place. Keep out of reach of children.Once opened the sachet should be used quickly
