Composition
Each gram powder contains: Amprolium hydrochloride BP 200 mg
Mode of action
As the structure of Amprol® Vet powder resembles to that of Vitamin B1, it acts as antagonist
of Vitamin B1. As a result, due to the lack of essential Vitamin B1, protozoa cannot reproduce
and ultimately destroyed.
Indications
Amprol® Vet powder is used in the following diseases of chicken, broiler and layer poultry, such
as; Coccidiosis or Blood dysentery caused by Eimeriaacervulina (duodenum), E. maxima and E.
necatrix (small intestine), E. brunetti (large intestine) and E. tenella (caecum).
Dosage & Administration
Poultry
For Prevention:
Water: 30 gm / 100 liters of drinking water for 7-14 consecutive days.
Feed: 60-75 gm / 100 kg of feed for 7- 14 consecutive days.
For Treatment:
Normal case: 60 gm / 100 liters of drinking water for 5-7 consecutive days.
In severe case: 120 gm / 100 liters of drinking water for 5-7 consecutive days.
Calves/lamb
For prevention: 1 gm / 40 kg of body weight for 5 consecutive days.
For treatment: 2 gm / 40 kg of body weight for 5 consecutive days.
Or, as per direction of registered veterinarian / Consultant.
Contraindications
Amprol® Vet powder should not be used in combination with Thiamin (Vitamin B1).
Withdrawal period
Meat: 0 day;
Egg: 0 day
Precautions
Store in a dry place, away from light. Keep out of the reach of children. Once opened the sachet
should be used quickly.
Side effect
There is no side effect for recommended dosage.
