Product Description
COMPOSITION
Each bolus contains Amoxicillin Trihydrate BP equivalent to Amoxicillin 800 mg and Diluted Potassium Clavulanate BP equivalent to Clavulanic Acid 200 mg.
INDICATIONS
Augment ® Vet Bolus is active against penicillin sensitive gram positive and gram negative bacteria. It is effective against various disease like mastitis, metritis, gastroenteritis, salmonellosis, calf scour, pharyngitis, bronchopneumonia, umbilical infection, foot root, fever, campilobacilosis, urinary tract infections, black quarter, haemorrhagic septicemia, joint infection etc.
MODE OF ACTION
Augment ® Vet Bolus is a broad spectrum bactericidal antibiotic that belongs to the beta-lactam group. Amoxicillin interferes with bacterial cell wall synthesis by inhibiting transpeptidase and carboxipeptidase enzymes of bacteria. On the other hand, Clavulanic acid is a beta lactamase inhibitor, used in conjunction with beta-lactamase susceptible antibiotics to treat infections caused by beta-lactamase producing organisms.
DOSAGE & ADMINISTRATION
Cattle / Buffalo: 1 bolus / 80 – 160 Kg (5-10 mg/Kg) body weight twice daily for 3 – 5 days.
Dog / Cat: 1 bolus / 40 – 80 Kg (10-20 mg/Kg) body weight twice daily for 3 – 5 days.
Or, as per direction of registered veterinarian / Consultant.
WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
Do not eat meat for 42 days & milk for 80 hours after administration.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
Augment ® Vet Bolus is contraindicated in animals hypersensitive to Amoxicillin and/or Clavulanic Acid.
SIDE EFFECT
No side effects at recommended dose. Sometimes hypersensitivity reactions may occur.
ADVERSE EFFECT
Antibiotic associated diarrhea may occur.
USE IN PREGNANCY AND LACTATION
Augment ® Vet Bolus is safe during pregnancy and lactating period.

STORAGE CONDITION
Store at or below 25 °C temperature. Keep away from light and wet place. Keep out of the reach of children.
PRESENTATION
Each carton contains 3 pouch. Each Pouch contains 1 strip of 6 Boli. Each bolus contains Amoxicillin Trihydrate BP equivalent to Amoxicillin 800 mg and Diluted Potassium Clavulanate BP equivalent to Clavulanic Acid 200 mg.
